We are the Williamsons!
It’s the reason we can’t get a dog, he says.
“We go constantly.” At some point in early summer of 2016 we realized we had been gone 9 out of 10 weekends. I couldn’t remember where we had been or what we had done. And I remembered something my dad had done when we went to Hawaii for the first time. He wrote a short account of what we did on each day of the trip and slipped it in the photo box along side of the film photos my mom took. This way, when we’d open the photo box and are able to remember what we did, where we ate, what the weather was like, etc. WilliamsonsGo sets out to be a catalog of our life, daily musings or travels or books we like – be they big or small – and the goodness and beauty of God in our lives. Rather than loosing track of our time and adventures, we decided it would be fun to log them in the form of stories and photos on this blog.
Chad. He is the energetic, adventurous one who loves being in the water. Give him a ball or a frisbee, and we have entertainment for hours. He loves Mexican food [the eternal search of the perfect tacos de carne asada], Lebron James, and meaningful conversation. But he is also the numbers guy – Chad works in the wealth division of a regional bank and keeps our life on track.
Ali. She is the calm, introverted one who anything ocean related. If hiking and going to the beach were in the same adventure, it would be the ideal vacation spot. She loves all food [except cilantro], horses, and trying new things. Ali works as a professional photographer specializing in weddings. Visit her work HERE.
The Williamsons. We met in college at James Madison and got married in October 2010. We’ve lived all over Virginia and have most recently moved to Hampton Roads. We strive for a marriage that honors the Lord, and we try not to take ourselves too seriously. Although we have different interests, we both agree that vacation isn’t vacation unless it’s at the beach, the Word of God is infallible, and that the Redskins are doomed [but, Hail anyway]. We’re island addicts who may one day sell everything and move to St. John USVI. But probably not. But maybe…
