I believe there are actually 6 love languages. Physical touch, words of affirmation, quality time, acts of service, gifts…
and TACOS
Chad found out he won an incentives trip with his work to Boca Raton and immediately, I began making food plans. From tacos to cubans, I know Miami has a rich food scene. My roommate from college turned bride recommended Taquiza, and my ears perked up. I knew I wanted to check it out.
Our trip to Miami was short – as we flew in a stayed for only a few hours. We walked South Beach, got some blisters and a sunburn, grabbed some ice cream to cool off from the heat, and then google mapped Taquiza. It’s a hidden little open air taco bar. From their simple menu with homemade blue corn tortilla chips that are a can’t-miss-I-have-dreams-about kind of food to the respite from the hot Florida sun, this place drew us in and kept us until we were so full. **The south beach location is no longer open, however they have a location in Miami Beach.
Now the rest of our trip. We made our way up the Intercoastal, and when we pulled into the driveway of this pink lady, my breath caught in my chest. So beautiful! All of his hard work and THIS place was his reward! We spent 3 days hanging by the pool, eating way too much resort food, and celebrating Chad!
